About us
Building sustainable access to water, sanitation and hygiene.
CWAFA is a Nigerian-registered nonprofit working to improve living conditions through practical, community-led WASH solutions, advocacy, awareness, capacity building and research.
Who we are
Simple, effective, affordable water solutions for Nigeria.
Clean Water Allegiance For Africans (CWAFA) is a Nigerian-registered non-governmental, non-profit organization focused on sustainable access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene. We work with communities, local partners and other stakeholders to address water and WASH challenges in underserved and vulnerable settings.
CWAFA delivers simple, effective and affordable water and sanitation solutions to people in both urban and rural communities across Nigeria.

Vision
A better world where everyone has living conditions that support dignity, empowerment and development.
Mission
To advance sustainable access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene for vulnerable communities through partnership, creativity, evidence and locally led action.
Our values
What guides every project.
Respect
We listen to communities, respect local realities and design interventions with people rather than simply for them.
Integrity
We take responsibility for our decisions, processes, resources and results.
Collaboration
We work with communities, local organisations, institutions, donors and partners because lasting WASH impact is built together.
Innovation
We remain open to practical technologies, new approaches and creative ways of solving water and sanitation challenges.
Joy
We believe social impact can be serious in purpose while remaining human, hopeful and community-centred.
Our approach to transparency
Transparency is demonstrated, not just claimed.
Alongside using every donated penny to fund water projects, CWAFA works to publish or link to project documentation, funding explanations, impact reports and accountability information wherever possible.
100% of public donations fund clean water projects: private donors cover CWAFA’s operating costs, so your gift goes directly to the work.
